This kit is one of the few 1:48 scale kits that I have build. This Kit is also very rare and as far as I know the only company that ever brought out a WASP in a plastic kit form. The kit itself is not that great. Nice detail on parts, but that is standard on a 1:48 scale kit. The parts itself had a lot of left over plastic that had to be removed. And the fuselage parts also did not join up.

SAAF ordered 17 of the WASP HAS Mk1's with made it the biggest export customer to the UK of it's type. The first one's arrived is SA in 1963 and the last in 1972. They were all part of 22 Squadron.

This was also the first time I tried to weather a model and that was fun.
